Economic sanctions: opportunities and strategies for the Islamic Republic of Iran
Abstract
The United States has used sanctions as a tools for intimidati on of Iran for the past 35 years. The paper uses a descriptive analytical approach to find the opportunities provided for the Islamic Republic of Iran during the sanctions. On the basis of these opportunities, most appropriate strategies for coping with sanctions are discussed. The paper shows why resilient economy meta-policy is an optimum strategy to sustain the development of the country and provide adoptable support against sanctions. Using this meta-policy, the Islamic Republic of Iran shall be able to increase its security and to provide all necessities of our national interest
